Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Thomas Hamilton, Jr….I just like the sound of that! Why, I do believe it could have come right out of a scene from “Gone With The Wind”! I can just see these two out on the lawn at Twelve Oaks!
“No war can come to our world, Ashley. No matter what comes I will love you until the day I die.” ~Melanie Wilkes from Gone With the Wind.
Leslie Ragland St. Pierre and Clyde Thomas Hamilton, Jr. eloped to Jekyll Island on May 19, 2011. They were married under the Beach Gazebo at beautiful Villas by the Sea Resort in an intimate and romantic ceremony at 6pm in the evening. The background sounds of the sea gulls and ocean waves made this a perfect beginning for these two, as they said their loving vows to each other.
Clyde and Leslie are both serving our country in the United States Air Force. They met and fell in love while both were stationed at Warner Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia. That was almost 3 years ago. Since that time, Clyde was transferred to Germany and has been stationed there for 1 ½ years. Although distance is not easy, Leslie and Clyde’s love for each other remained strong.
So when Clyde told Leslie he had 5 days leave and would be coming home to her, the elopement plans went into action. After finding my website, and a few e-mails later, we booked their elopement!
Leslie looked so beautiful in her wedding gown of gorgeous white satin. It was an a-line, tea length, short in the front and longer in the back, with a strapless sweetheart/princess neckline. She accessorized with a vintage style birdcage/visor veil that was pinned on the side, a string of pearls, and red patent heels for a romantic dinner for two, planned for afterwards, on St. Simons Island. She carried a bouquet of bright red, yellow, and coral roses, stem wrapped in white satin ribbon.
Clyde was handsome as ever in his tan tux and red rose boutonniere. His first look at his bride was in complete awe of her beauty and the two smiled with an excitement that only true love can bring.
They repeated their vows, exchanged rings, and were pronounced husband and wife. The first kiss as Mr. and Mrs. could wait no longer! I smiled in adoration of the happiness and excitement seen in these two.
