Debbie and Andy were married on Juky 1, 2014 at 7pm on Driftwood Beach, Jekyll Island, Georgia. Just the two of them on a deserted section of beach with only the sounds of the ocean waves lapping the shore and the seagulls chirping above.
Andy and Debbie have been together for a number of years, so it was no surprise to anyone that they would be tying the knot together on a destination elopement for just the two of them. Their families are thrilled!
Located on the north end of Jekyll Island, Driftwood beach is covered with beautiful driftwood and trees that resemble a tree graveyard. This is due to the north end of the island slowly eroding away and being deposited on the south end of the island. We walked the sandy path to the beach and found the perfect spot among the trees. The romantic and intimate ceremony began.
Andy was tanned and handsome in his white linen shirt and tan slacks. He wore a boutonnière of white hydrangeas to match Debbie’s bouquet. And of course, Debbie was as beautiful as ever in a strapless pale pink floor length gown of crepe chiffon. The ruched bodice had a sweetheart neckline that was gorgeous. She carried a bouquet of pink roses with white hydrangeas. They both kicked off their flops and felt the sand between their toes!
The two listened to words of love and commitment before saying their “I do’s” and each said vows to the other. Rings were exchanged as a token and pledge of their constant faith to each other and they were at last pronounced husband and wife together. Andy kissed his bride at last!
Lots of fun photography afterwards that included bike rides and romantic walks together along the beach. The newlywed glow is in full swing!
